Ruined for the ordinary

by Bruce Wadd

I don’t like Easter anymore!  It has become a very ordinary time of year.  Let me explain before you jump to any conclusions…

Recently my pastry chef daughter began bringing home some of the work that she has been preparing - many varieties of luscious sweets and pastries.  The ‘stand out’ items have been the exquisite pieces of chocolate design work, left overs from some decorative food process.

Upon tasting this chocolate, I was hooked. My whole mouth became absorbed with the smooth milky texture and soft gentle flavours.  The eyes closed as I savoured every sensual morsel of the $900 per kilo treasure.

I have been ruined for the ordinary.  The idea of unwrapping a chocolate Easter egg, breaking off a piece, and popping it into my mouth just doesn’t grab my attention anymore.  I have eaten quality!!

Can the same be said for your spiritual life?  Have you tasted quality today? Have you communicated with Jesus Christ? Remember,

“…you have everything when you have Christ.”
Colossians 2:10

TODAY, God wants you to savour only the best – Him!
