Revised edition

by Suresh Manoharan

Recently, I came across an article on the famous printer namely Benjamin Franklin. The article said he composed his own tombstone epitaph thus:

“The body of B. Franklin, printer, like the cover of an old book, its contents worn out, and stripped of its lettering and gilding, lies here, food for worms. Yet the work shall not be lost: for it will be as he believed appear once more, in a new and more beautiful edition, corrected and amended by the Author”.

Truly, will not the revised edition of our bodies be more beautiful than its present natural, physical edition?

“So will it be with the resurrection of the dead.

The body that is sown is perishable, it is raised imperishable” I Cor. 15:42

Is this not one more reason to praise the greatest Author of life?
