Time-adjusting pupils

by Bruce Wadd

Ever walked into a dark room, and seen how long it takes for your eyes to adjust to the darkness? Isn’t it amazing what you can see when your eyes have adjusted to the dull conditions?

The other night I was out camping. Having cooked this awesome meal on an open fire it was time for eating. I had forgotten to bring a gas lamp, and so it was necessary to eat in the dark.

Rather than stay surrounded by trees I walked out into the open, and let the soft light of the stars bathe the meal - just enough to make out what I was eating! I was amazed at how much light there was, how much clarity could be seen; almost enough to read!

You may have experienced times in your life where the light of God’s love seems to have been extinguished.  Or you may have gone to a dark place in your life to sort out some deeper issues, and the light was seemingly non-existent!

Take time to adjust to the new light, because you will be amazed that even in darkest times, some light does shine. From deep down inside God can still shine! Even the enemies of God will praise Him!

Here’s the truth about God’s intentions…

“I want you to trust me in your times of trouble, so I can rescue you, and you can give me glory.”

Psalms 50:15

TODAY, take time to adjust… God is always in the picture!
