The minute and the
massive by
Life is so often made up of both large and small. Taking care of the minute whilst being part of the massive is critical to so many things!
The builder needs to be confident that the foundation being laid, often beneath the ground, is going to adequate for the building above.
The auditor studies the miniscule financial transactions, looking for trends to verify error and correctness.
The surgeon makes the large incision, and then finishes with the finest sutures.
The engineer in planning a structure makes a large number of calculations, some extremely small, influencing the success and robustness of the finished creation.
Large projects are often held up by minute difficulties with insignificant problems.
God really challenges us with the same concept. His blessings are waiting to be poured out, but He asks us to be diligent with the small things in our lives. They are important, because once taken care of, we will be blessed with so much more.
“For unless you are honest in small matters, you won’t be in large ones.” Luke 16:10
