Most of the of the ShareSong.org gang from Brisbane were recently involved in running Arts Weekend, a discipleship camp for budding young Christian artists.  The theme for the weekend was “Excellence in the Arts”.  As well as running a bunch of great workshops in the arts, the studies looked at questions like:  

1. Why are the arts worth our time? Because God is the creator and he has created us to be creative in His image;

2.  Why bother being good at our art?  Because God wants us to maximise the talents that He has given us (parable of the talents); and

What a wonderful privilege God has given us in the creative arts: to have fun, to praise Him, and shine His light to the world.  If you want to have a look at the studies in full check them out online.

Rick Muchow has released “Catch the Spirit” from His One Nation Under God collection to ShareSong.org.  Rick is involved in the huge American Worship Gathering in Washington DC on May 25 & 26 month which features Don Moen, Jaci Velasquez, Crystal Lewis, Toby Mack and Michael Tait of dc talk, Out of Eden, Rick Muchow, Bob Fitts, Jeff Deyo, Tommy Walker, Lenny LeBlanc, Chris Tomlin, Kent Henry, Morris Chapman, Marcos Vidal, and the VeggieTales.   

The daily downloads are steadily increasing as more people use ShareSong.org/FreePraiseAndWorship.org regularly as a source for their new music.  We’ve gone from just under 3000 downloads a day in October last year to nearly 5000 daily downloads last month.  A plot of this is shown below.
