30-year love affair by
It doesn’t happen for everyone, but if you live in Australia, you have possibly seen it. Volkswagen, Mini, and now Holden, all well know models of automobiles, have re-released an absolute favourite car from their fleet of yesteryear.
The Holden Monaro, for non-car lovers, is a two-door vehicle discovered for the first time in the late 60’s and early 70’s by many fanciers of speed, sleek lines and brute force. Back then many people admired this vehicle as it careered down the highways and excelled on the racetrack.
The design, technology and refinement may have dramatically changed, but the passion, raw desire and intimacy with this rebirthed vehicle seems to be even greater with the rediscovery of this ‘V8 beast’. The previous design has become a classic, and the new version has many people spending thousands of dollars, and much time, in pursuit of motoring exhilaration.
This love affair, though, pales into insignificance compared with the intricate detail and care in which God has created and cared for you. His relationship with you is forever, not just three decades – an eternal love affair!
