*&^% HAPPY BIRTHDAY *&^% by
And that's right... you've guessed correctly! It's our birthday - Today's Thought has finally reached one year! Twelve months! Fifty two weeks! Three hundred and sixty five days! Many, many hours tapping a keyboard!
It's a bit of joke really that our birthday falls on April Fool's day. It reminds me that God has a sense of humour, and He is using it right now!
So, today I wanted to be a little selfish and share something about my writing journey. This epic trip started over five years ago when God guided me towards sending inspirational or funny sayings via email to my office colleagues once or twice a week.
The responses got me thinking about the impact of the written word, and so I started capturing some of the intricate and everyday things of life, using them to teach something of God's truth.
Let me encourage you today to listen, and be obedient, to God's promptings. You never know what impact it will have on others. Remember, it's not about you! No, it's about God's plan for this world. You and I are a part of His bigger picture!
It's been great having you with me for this time! I would love to hear about God's promptings in your life, and to share a little of your journey of obedience!

Everyone... everything has
to have a birthday at some point.
And now... in the wee
hours of the morning... here I am, sitting and writing my 366th thought to
people all over the world. Some of you have been with me for the complete
journey, whilst most have joined somewhere along the way.
