Rick Founds, Anthony Pero, Songs of Praise + 880 songs
After being written twelve years ago by Rick Founds, “Lord I Lift You Name on High” is still #2 in Australia, #4 in the UK, and #4 in the US on the CCLI charts. Rick has probably written more songs sung in churches every Sunday, than any other songwriter. We’re very excited to announce that Rick has made eleven other songs off his gorgeous “After All” album freely available at ShareSong.org & FreePraiseAndWorship.org. The songs range from very intimate and personal worship songs to some fun rock out blues/rock numbers that will get your congregation grooving. Rick’s gift for ushering people into the presence of God is undeniable. "You've Pulled Away the Curtain" and the rest of this CD continue to demonstrate his gift. Anthony Pero's first studio album, Determined, is scheduled for release December 15, but you can preview Determined at ShareSong.org now. This album, an expression of one man's relationship with God, is at times inspiring, at times reflective, but always honest as it searches for intimacy with God. Every cut is a prayer, seeking God's wisdom, mercy, love, or just praising Him for who He is.
Steve Massey is committed to providing top quality, original praise and worship songs for Christian Churches worldwide. Steve's current praise song, "Come To The Table" was selected by CCM Worship Magazine's Song DISCovery program as one of 11 songs for the Volume 26 CD compilation and songbook that went out to over 21,000 subscribers. Steve says, “I have to admit I was sceptical at first when I heard about what you all [ShareSong.org] do. I spent several thousand dollars to make 1,000 CD's including all final mixing, graphics and all. The idea of just giving it all away on MP3.com and your site to churches and users kind of caught me off guard a bit. But I am learning much more now about how all this works, and the fact that you provide such a vital link between me as writer and the churches who use CCLI songs. So I guess over time I began to see the advantages of you all getting our material into the hands of people that can in fact use the material. Elton Smith and Larry Holder of the immensely popular site SongsofPraise.org are now sharing songs off their new album “My Soul’s Desire” on ShareSong.org. These guys host hundreds of songs at Songs of Praise and have had nearly a million visitors to their own site since starting in 1996. It’s a privilege to have them come on board.
We now have 16 of Michael Lehr's songs uploaded. Michael's music comes from a mix of sixties Rock'n'Roll and an Anglican liturgical background. So the music is varied and the lyrics are often gutsy, with solid meat for teaching and edification. Many of his more recent songs have been written in conjunction with members of the Christian Songwriters Group. It's great to see a broad cross section of Christian traditions being represented by the 150 or so songwriters who have contributed their songs to ShareSong.org! This is just a quick snapshot of more than 120 songs that have been added to the SS/FPW database in the last month. You’ll have to check the rest out for yourself.
