A real buzz in the air

  by Bruce Wadd

One wedding anniversary weekend my wife and I disappeared for a twenty-four hour escape. On the Saturday night we decided to catch a movie, and because we had a forty-five minute drive from our mountaintop retreat, we arrived early at the cinemas.

We bought the tickets and then proceeded to the waiting queue and stood, ready to enter. As we stopped the doors opened spilling their contents of laughing or smiling cinema patrons. Everyone exited with a very similar light hearted expression, smiles or laughter lingering on their faces.

Knowing that we were going to see the same movie, we entered with great expectation, eagerly wanting to discover what the laughter at the end was all about.

As the movie progressed we were left in no doubt that the end of the movie would be funny. Throughout there were constant funny moments, but the end still came as a complete surprise.

Without disclosing the details the cinema erupted in absolute hilarity at the final scene.  The doors opened and we became the next group of free promoters for future movie-goers.

When you have God in your life you can’t help but live the excitement, having positive expectation of what He is going to lead you through next. Why not be God's best advertisement for others!

“You are the world’s light
– a city on a hill, blowing in the night for all to see.” Matthew 5:14

TODAY, let the buzz of Jesus inside glow on your face!
