October 4, 2007
It had been a week of silence - a retreat where no one spoke, except for a
forty-minute daily session with a listener. This person merely asked
pertinent questions from our diary.

for that person!’ the small voice instructed. [more]
October 12, 2007 Doing a mental | 2 Corinthians 4:18
I’m not good at mental gymnastics so it is confusing to be told I am to ‘fix
my eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen.’ My sight is precious
and the things I look at are precious. So if I have eyes, they are for the
visible.

Howling outside | Psalms 31:1,23
The wind was just blowing a gale outside. People were pulling their coats

October 19, 2007
A friend had reached a "T" intersection in her life. Events had closed in

Surely she can see that her situation demands reality beyond her expression?

Over the balcony | Isaiah 53:5
Nathan stood there, aghast, with tears streaming down his face! He couldn’t
