Worm squirm

by Bruce Wadd

Ever looked into a bucket of worms?  Imagine a wriggling, squirming mass of living organisms, intertwined and directionless. There’s lots of energy in that bucket, but with no where to go except this confined space, it seems to be wasted effort.

Now imagine reaching in and grabbing several squirmers.  Not the best thing you have to do today! For some your insides would squirm like the contents of the bucket!

From an eternal perspective, looking at the humans on this earth must be rather reminiscent of the squirming worms!

God made us for much more than just wriggling through life.  You are not destined to struggle through life without direction or purpose.  He wants you to be free – to live for activity, to have a direction and a mission.

What’s your purpose for being here?  What’s the driving force in your life?

“Sin need never again be your master, for now

you are no longer tied to the law where sin enslaves you,

but you are free under God’s favour and mercy.”

Romans 6:14

TODAY, let God take you out of the squirm bucket… and be free!
