Which bucket?

by Bruce Wadd

Imagine you are carrying two buckets laden with separate liquids.  Prior to picking them up you take a moment to inspect the contents, and scientifically decide that one contains water and the other, fuel.

You are not sure why, but you are walking along carrying these two containers, when all of a sudden someone screams out – FIRE!!

Without a moment’s hesitation you respond.  But common-sense wisdom would then ask, which bucket should I use?  Fuel or water?

The same goes for conflict.  You may be facing marital, family, work, church or community disagreement - how you handle it will greatly affect the long-term outcomes.

Here is some wisdom for you to ponder. You have the choice of which bucket to pour out. Wisdom would say… use water! It’s in the power of the tongue!

“Wisdom and good judgement live together, for wisdom knows where to discover knowledge and understanding.”  Proverbs 8:12

TODAY, choose buckets wisely!
