Where’s the leak?

by Bruce Wadd

My wife and I have had a waterbed all our married life, and on the odd occasion we have woken to damp sheets and pyjamas. It’s annoying, and a little embarrassing, to wake up feeling damp.

Thus begins the search for the leak. The bed clothes are removed, towels are brought in to mop up the escaped water, and everything is dried ready for the search.

It’s simple really! We don’t stop searching until the puncture is found. Eventually, by pushing back the water bladder, a tiny drip is exposed. Something has punctured a hole in the thick membrane, and water is escaping.

God kind of does the same thing with your life. He keeps searching, exposing leaks in your existence. He’s on about fixing gaps, stopping problems, exposing truth and transforming lives for His kingdom.

But He won’t force His way in… it’s by invitation only! Is He tapping on your heart TODAY?

“End all wickedness, O Lord, and bless all who truly worship God; for you, the righteous God,

look deep within the hearts of men

and examine all their motives and their thoughts.”

Psalms 7:9
