We are still people

by Bruce Wadd

Sitting in a waiting room ready for a medical procedure was bad enough. But listening to the staff member deal with each individual was beyond what I could stand. Inside me, rose this arrogance, saying, ‘hang on a moment, we are still people here!’

The person providing the procedure was bordering on rude. They’d done the same thing numerous times, and it was obviously beyond the learning stage of the job. She was beginning to be rather short with the sick people in the waiting area.

As I approached the desk for my turn, I put on my best smile and was as friendly as I could possibly be.  I was determined to shower this person with as much love and happiness as possible, to let her know that ‘we are still people’.

People want to be noticed and valued. It doesn’t matter where you are in this world - we are all created to be valued.

Let me encourage you today, to stand up for others that aren’t being noticed. Cry out for the unwanted. Speak for those that don't have a voice! Act now for those less able!

"As if, as My representative, you give

even a cup of cold water to a little child,

you will surely be rewarded."

Matthew 10:42

Be active about adding something to someone else’s life! TODAY!
