Water crisis

by Bruce Wadd

The media was filled with reports and articles about the drought situation in Australia. “There is a massive water crisis going on,” said the analysts, the scientists and the politicians. The media then continued to herald this news even further because of the ratings increase.

Globally we are hearing about the impact of warming the planet - the changing weather patterns, the melting ice, the droughts, the cyclones, the floods – all attributed to global warming!

These problems aren’t new, but I find it intriguing that it remains relatively unnoticed until the issue gets painful, and then people of influence become vocal and give it attention.

You and I are probably no different. Pain has a way of getting our attention like nothing else!

The wonderful thing is how God miraculously uses the discomfort in our lives to focus our attention, and then to teach us - if we are willing - lessons about life and living it to the full.

“Count it all joy!”
