Water sculptures

by Bruce Wadd

At dawn as I was walking the dog I noted interesting shapes along the dirt road we were journeying.  Upon closer inspection it was fascinating to notice the intriguing designs formed by water rushing over this rather sandy surface.

Despite the road being almost flat, relatively deep furrows were left from rushing water, etched into the surface till the next downpour.  The twists, turns and dives that the hurrying liquid had created just intrigued me.  How could such intricacy happen over such a short distance… only about twenty metres?

Yet the mark had been left, obvious to any onlooker.  There was a sense of beauty for those that dared stop and appreciate.

God, too, has allowed difficulties and pain throughout your life to etch intriguing and intricate shapes in your character.  It may look and feel terrible, but to those that stop and appreciate their value develop a sense of empathy and care that only you can have.  You have something unique and of value to others!

Allow your life, etched with experience, to make a difference to others.  Share you life and experience!

“Don’t try to squirm out of your problems.  For when your patience is finally in full bloom, then you will be ready for anything, strong in character, full and complete.”

James 1:4

Today, appreciate how life sculptures people.  Love them!
