Turn on the light

by Bruce Wadd

Ever got up early in the morning, with no light on in the room you have been sleeping and felt a disoriented?

As you take each step it is couched with tentativeness, knowing that there are objects around but not sure exactly where they are. You bump into one or two things, and finally kick your toe so it really hurts.

“Ouch”, you exclaim, “Where’s that light?” You head towards the light source and finally turn it on.  Now everything is revealed, through your blinking eyes.  You can walk confidently with every step because you can see clearly where the boundaries, dangers and pitfalls are, but more importantly, know where to walk.

Do you ever stop and ask yourself whether you are living your life in darkness, part truth, depleted by past hurts, fears and innuendos?

Here’s a simple yet life transforming truth to sit with …

“For His wounds have healed ours.” 1 Peter 2:24b

Why are you short-changing yourself … and your Creator and Saviour … by living in the dark?

Turn on the light, and let Him shine into every corner of your life!
