Troubled hearing

by Elizabeth Price

Millions of people go to worship and make offerings to their various gods all over the world.  Do their gods actually speak to them, out loud, witnessed and verified by a copy of the transcript?

What tender or compassionate words do their gods speak to heal the hurting and encourage the broken-hearted?

I have a God who actually spoke out loud, heard by six-hundred-thousand men besides women and children, and then he inspired a written record.

To every troubled parent heart, He said,

He gives His love ‘to a thousand generations.’

He could have told us how to build robots to take the burden of all our work. Instead He commanded one whole day of every week free from labour for all people everywhere.  He was more concerned about a compassionate use of labour than with an endless production line.

Oh, yes, my God spoke all right.  He spoke in Exodus, Chapter 20, inscribed it with His own finger on rock and then He lived and worshipped with us, told in the Gospels.

Maybe we have a problem with volume control?
