Tree houses

by Brandy Ferguson

Running through the grass barefoot, catching frogs, and digging holes. Playing hide-and-seek, and laughing as you’re being chased.  Climbing trees, building sand castles, letting ladybugs crawl up your hand, being amazed by twinkling stars, planning your tree house in the backyard, dancing with no thought for who’s watching…

Oh the timeless wonder of being a child!

As I’ve grown older, I’ve grown fonder of those fleeting childhood moments, the times when I lived so carefree and adventurous.

Jesus said, “I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it."

God wants our unadulterated attention, energy and focus.  He wants us to be so captivated by Him we chase after Him in reckless abandon and total freedom.

“Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child

is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.”

Matthew 18:4

What captivates you?
