Time pressure

by Bruce Wadd

I woke a few minutes later.  Everything was fine till I looked outside and noted the fabulous clear sky with a potentially beautiful sunrise.

Immediately I wanted to get to the top of the mountain before the sun appeared over the horizon.  Grabbing my shoes and car keys, I raced to the park entrance ready for the thirty-minute climb.

'If I don’t push from right now I won’t make it,’ I kept telling myself.  So, the walking pace increased, the heart rate pushed up, the breathing became louder and many beads of sweat began appearing on my brow.  But I wasn't going to let the sunrise beat me!

Only seconds after my body collapsed on top of the highest rock, the sun appeared.  I had made it!

What about the calling on your life?  Have you felt a growing intensity, an increasing urgency to get busy with what you need to be on about?

Jesus is coming, but none of us knows when.  Isn't it increasingly critical for you to follow your dream, to be obedient to His call?

Now is the only time you have... but it's running out!

“Therefore go and make

disciples in all the nations, baptizing

them into the name of the Father and

of the Son and of the Holy Spirit…”

Matthew 28:19
