The wrong room

by Karen Collum

I was running late for one of my university classes.  I walked into a crowded lecture theatre, found a vacant seat in the middle of a row, excused myself as I squeezed past a dozen people, and sat down… only to realize that I was in the wrong room! My lecture was next door.

Red-faced, I tried to make a graceful exit - ‘tried’ being the operative word!

It seems I’ve had that experience often in my life.  Many times I have felt like I don’t belong.  Everyone else fits in, but I don’t.  Maybe you can relate.  If so, I have some good news for you.

We are supposed to feel like we don’t belong!  It’s a fact – we don’t!  We belong with our Father in heaven.

“Dear friends, you are

like foreigners and strangers in this world.”

1 Peter 2:11

TODAY!  Remember where we truly belong!
