The roar

by Bruce Wadd

It's early morning, just before sunrise, and the traffic roar has already begun for the day.  I’m sitting in my local forest writing this thought.  The busy freeway below knifes through the middle of this natural paradise.

I can’t help thinking.  When does this noise ever stop?

Life pressures many of us to perform, to be productive - at least to be doing something!  I’m not saying this is bad or wrong, but let me ask you this question “When do you stop and be quiet, away from the roar?”

Often our lives are violently opposed to just sitting and being quiet in God.  As a Christian, I believe it is much more important than doing!

Why not take the time to quietly contemplate who He is and what He’s done for you? Remember…

“They that wait on the Lord shall

renew their strength - they shall

mount up with wings like eagles; they shall

run and not be weary; they shall

walk and not be faint.”

Isaiah 40:31
