The power is on

 by Bruce Wadd

You are half through a family games evening when without warning the power goes out.  Automatically the family goes to ‘Plan B’, grabbing torch, candles and matches.

In only five minutes the family is back, playing the game at the table as before – the only difference being the light source!

Over half an hour goes by and the family is having lots of fun with the game – power outage virtually forgotten.  One family member gets up for a drink and discovers that the lights are on next door and down the street.

Everyone sits there and feels quite silly when they realise that they have been playing with torch and candlelight, when they could have been using the normal lights and seeing much better.

Are you living your life like that?  By torchlight?  By candlepower?  Not acknowledging God’s willingness to do great things for you and through you?

Remember…

“I can do all things through Christ

who gives me the strength.”

Philippians 4:13

TODAY, find God’s power switch and…turn it ON!
