The crunchy bits

 by Bruce Wadd

When my family decides to buy chips, there is often a hidden agenda for each family member.  Secretly, we all hope that the shop owner leaves plenty of crunchy bits at the bottom of the paper wrapping.

When I arrive home, bringing the hot chips, I immediately become the most popular father in the street.  The consumption of chips becomes everyone’s focus.  The talking comes to a stand still, everyone is enjoying the tasty experience!

Isn’t it funny, though?  Everyone eats the chips, but they seem to haggle over the ‘crunchy bits’ – the tasty morsels left in the creases of the chip paper!

It makes me wonder whether some people are crunchy!  Do you know someone that is often left until last, but ends up being a most interesting person when you to get to know then?

Who are the ‘crunchy’ people in your life? Have you tried connecting with them?  Even though they may be quite odd and unusual, they will possibly bring a whole different perspective to your life - a new and pleasant discovery waiting to happen!

Remember,

“Love others as you love yourself.”
Ephesians 5:14

TODAY, make an acquaintance!  Enjoy those crunchy bits!
