The swamp

by Bruce Wadd

It was teacher-training day, and we were engaged in a fun group activity called ‘the swamp’.

Two teams were given the challenge of getting each blindfolded member through a ‘radioactive’ maze of objects using only vocal commands.  If there were any touches of objects a mishap occurred and the blind participant would need to start again.

The activity was much harder than it looked.  Watching different participants communicate was most intriguing. Some partners were working really well together whilst others were very tentative and untrusting.

God knows and understands the spiritual warfare that we are engaged in.  We as humans, though, are often so blinded to the eternal ramifications of our current circumstances.  He wants us to just trust Him, and to follow His calling for our lives, to be obedient, so that we won’t be injured in the ‘swamp’.

Trust is such an essential element in life’s journey!

“Since the Lord is directing our steps, why try to understand everything that happens along the way?”  Proverbs 20:24

Today, just know that God is helping you through ‘the swamp’!
