That’s short

by Bruce Wadd

Walking through the mall on a Saturday afternoon was really pleasant. I was just ambling away, when my eyes were locked upon this dress. ‘Wow, that’s short!’ I commented to myself.

There, standing in front of me, was a young lady moving from shop window to stall, intent on the shopping experience, but all the time conscious of her image and looks that she was receiving.

It begged me to ask the question – why wear something that short?  If I ask one question, I also have to ask more, why the revealing cleavage, the drastically see-through clothes, the weird body piercing, crazy hair styles and numerous other eye-catching paraphernalia?

Why do people need to do these things?  As I have talked to various people, I have heard people with similar stories – just differently packaged!  ‘I want to be noticed,’ is usually the message being broadcast.

Here’s some Good News!  You ARE accepted - as you are - by God.  You can rejoice today!

“… God chose us to be His very own,

through what Christ would do for us; He

decided then to make us holy in His

eyes, without a single fault …”
Ephesians 1:4
