That burning passion

by Bruce Wadd

It’s often difficult to describe the phenomena of passion. It is much easier to experience it!  So here’s a challenge for today…test it out!

Go out to your swimming pool, or fill up your bath, get in and relax.  Then when you are ready, take a normal breath, put your head underneath the water and loosen up even further.  Admire the beauty of being underwater.  Think about something pleasant for as long as you want.

After a while your physical needs will begin to change.  Your thinking will move to the pressure building in your chest, that growing desire to let used oxygen out and draw in fresh air.

It won’t take long before the pressure builds to an all-consuming passion to breath.  You won’t be able to think about anything else. Motivation for action will be extreme!

Try it, even to remind yourself about real passion!

Do you desire God that way?

How long since you’ve had a burning passion for intimacy with your heavenly Father?

Pray for that longing in your life, TODAY!

“I will pray morning, noon, and night, pleading aloud with God; and he will hear and answer.” Psalm 55:17
