Teacher revival

by Bruce Wadd

Several years ago, I attempted to return to classroom teaching after seven years away.  It was one of the most difficult things I’ve done in my life.

I was particularly shocked and amazed at how my engrained teaching habits, ones that were really difficult to notice and change, returned almost immediately.  I quickly began feeling defeated, out-of-control and depressed.  I desperately needed a change of thinking!

And the change came in the deputy’s office, when I was attempting to outline my plan of attack.  Half way through this profound conversation, she simply stopped me speaking and said, “Bruce, you need to leave!”

It caught me by surprise.  I knew it in my heart, but I didn’t think any one else noticed.  My classroom teaching days were over!

I walked out of her office not angry, shocked or bitter, but with peace, knowing that the door had closed, and God was in charge.

Are you facing situations you know, deep in your spirit, you have NO peace with?  You may be avoiding a confrontation because you are fearful of the outcome!

Face it.  Deal with it … and move on!  Because the resulting peace of God is worth more than anything you can imagine!

“Why then be downcast? Why be discouraged and sad?
Hope in God!”  Psalms 42:5

TODAY!  Let God revive your heart … with something new!
