The tale of scar

by Bruce Wadd

Tayla rushed up to me. “Did you see this?” and immediately the hands and the eyes focused on a gash just above her knee. With pride she shared the story!

How come, not only kids, but adults delight in telling their war stories and the scars they have ‘earned’ through the years?

I wonder when we gather in heaven if there will be scar tales of adventures, risks, and sacrifices made for the glory of God.

Let me build some reality into today … In your spiritual journey, you are in warfare against evil.  The magnitude is decided by how obedient you are willing to be!  But my guess is those that have sacrificed most, will have the more significant stories to tell.

Why not share your scar tales? Just click reply to share...

Every story, though, fades when compared with the two holes in Jesus’ hands and the hole in His side.  Jesus shared His story with an unbelieving Thomas. Do you believe?

'Then He said to Thomas, "Put your finger

into my hands. Put your hand into my side.

Don’t be faithless any longer.  Believe!"’

John 20:27

TODAY, thank Jesus, for your scars!
