Take the cover off

“There’s no excuse”, I said to myself as I dragged myself out of bed to the sound of constant rain on the roof. Before long, I was in the car and driving to my daily exercise spot, raincoat on the back seat.

As I got out of the car, I quickly put on the poncho styled raincoat, including the head cover, and off I went. I was five minutes into the walk when I began to realize that this morning’s walk was so much brighter and cleaner because of the rain.

And then I did it! I pulled off the head cover to discover the wonderful sounds, sights and freshness that I’d been missing with my head shielded from the rain. Despite the wet head, the freshness of the experience was not to be missed!

With your walk in Christ ... are you missing some parts? I have talked to many people that hide behind the cloak of religion and church, thinking that’s where they really experience living in Him.

Let me encourage you today, to take off the covers. Remove the veils of religion, man-made habits that hide the true freshness of living in Him, and live with vitality every day!

I hear some of you asking, how do I do that? Well, it’s quite simple – spend time every day talking and listening to Him! You’ll be amazed with what you discover!
