Since our LAUNCH of TT version TWO in Brisbane [see photos] on June 30 in Brisbane Australia, we have added lots more people from various countries around the world.

Thus it is time to send out a NEWS UPDATE to keep you informed of some of the new things happening; things that are coming up; and ways you can be involved in this ministry.

Of special interest this month is our six-monthly SURVEY, celebrating thirty months online, having launched April 1 2005.

Well, the last six months represents many firsts for Today’s Thought.

Reaching 100 subscribers within the month

Every six months we run a subscriber survey to keep us informed of changes in your thinking, give opportunity for feedback and new ideas.

A number of clear messages emerged from the two-year survey in April:

• Introduce new writers

• Allow better response opportunities

• Introduce podcasts

Since then we’ve been working on a number of new initiatives.  We’re excited to announce these new elements that make up Today’s Thought Version 2 (TTv2).
 

Every day a devotional thought is sent to impact lives as God sees fit. The changes you will notice to each email may be minute, but they are profoundly different in their scope. Let me explain…

NEW BUTTONS – the new email template has SEVERAL new buttons – respond AND prayer. Below is an explanation of each button...

RESPOND – you get a chance to respond if an article touches you in a special way. One of a group of people will respond to your thoughts.

PRAYER – There are times when you need prayer for specific circumstances. Standing by is a prayer team dedicated to pray for your particular needs.

We welcome new teams of people beginning online ministry with TT.

• Writing team - sharing simple messages from around the world

• Prayer team – dedicated to praying for people’s needs

• Pastoral care team – ready to chat about life

• Behind the scene team – supporting these daily messages

To each of you, welcome. I trust that this journey will be a blessing to both you and the many people you connect with and influence for God.

Due to the increasing number of subscribers I'm finding it increasingly difficult to respond personally to each and every email I receive.

Thus every day there is a button called RESPOND on the top of each email. By clicking on this you will be able to share your thoughts, reflections or questions. 

So if you’ve got a response to a particular Today’s Thought then you can send it to todaysthought@googlegroups.com to bless other members with your thoughts on Today’s Thought.

We are still very much in the experimental stage of podcasting, but there are some examples of what you will see in the future. Our goal - to develop a team of people that produce each thought in audio format to deliver to the world.

In the future we see these podcasts being downloaded and listened to by busy people on their way to work or on radio!

I know many of you continue to be blessed by these messages arriving daily from Australia. God has blessed us tremendously over the past years as TT has grown. And the vision for the future for this ministry and my life continues to expand…

• More writing – books / articles / blogs
• Teaching people about simple faith (face to face)
• More effective use of new technology
• A publishing house featuring transformational material
• Online teams of people providing care, support and nurture of people

For all the groundwork to be laid for these dreams I need to be released from my daily school chaplaincy work [in His time], thus for the first time I am asking YOU to consider supporting my family’s income through donation.
