Spokes of a wheel

by Bruce Wadd

Each spoke of a bicycle wheel is quite insignificant on its own, quite weak if pressure is applied.  It's strength comes from connecting the outside spokes with the central hub.

If the wheel starts to buckle it's usually because spokes are missing or bent, having lost their strength.

Your strength comes from your connectedness with the centre – Jesus Christ – as well as being a part of the body of Christ!

Our celebration for TODAY should be that the ‘spokes’ on the other side of the ‘wheel’, those different to us, have strength because of their connection with the centre.

Our task is to connect every spoke (person) to the centre, and celebrate their differences in the connection.

Listen to how Jesus celebrated connectedness

“…the glorious unity of being one…” John 17:22

Stay connected… it’s your only chance of staying strong!
