A slower group

by Bruce Wadd

A father arrived home with a big pile of work he needed to finish.  His kindergarten daughter looked at the pile and asked, “Daddy, why are you working so hard?  Why do you always bring work home?”

The caring father looked at his young daughter and replied, “The problem is, I just don’t get all my work finished so I need to bring it home to get it done.”

With deep love and wonderful naïve insight the daughter looked up at her father and declared, “Daddy, I think they should put you in the slower group.”

Today, I just wanted to remind you that life is not a race … it’s a journey! Travel well!  Slow down if you need to … enjoy now, because that is all you really have!

“But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings like eagles;

they shall run and not be weary;

they shall walk and not faint.”

Isaiah 40:31

TODAY, slow down… wait… you’ll gain strength in the process!
