Slow descent by
My current home gives me many new perspectives on things. One that I noted only recently was the flight path to my city’s main airport. Even though I live thirty minutes drive away, my new home is obviously under one of the inbound flight paths.
The seeming pedestrian pace of the large jumbo jets as fly towards their landing place! They appeared to take such a long time from being visible on the horizon till when they disappeared on the opposite ‘treescape’ ready for landing.
Having never been in a cockpit when landing, I try to imagine what is happening inside. Plenty of last minute adjustments, double checking every detail, securing a safe landing for all passengers.
The goal is a safe landing!
God’s eternal goal for you is a safe arrival in heaven. So now God has you on His flight path… towards heaven! This ascent, rather than a descent, sometimes seems to take a long time and be proceeding ever so slowly. But, in His time and His way, He has you on track.

TODAY, take time to enjoy the heaven ascent!
