Slippery by What a
fabulous word!! So many different
things describe this utterance. Let me paint
some pictures – picking up a fish; jelly on a wall; gripping a greased hand;
a robber in the night; picking up soap in the bath.
Here’s
something to think about! Legalism –
doing things to the letter of the law – is one of the slipperiest items you
will ever have to deal with. Why? Everything on the outside looks great. You can’t actually define what’s wrong, but
your gut tells you something just isn’t kosher. Something’s
missing? Relationship!! That’s
right. Next time you encounter the
slipperiness of legalism, grasp it easily with both hands, by focusing on
Jesus Christ and His sacrifice. “Christ in your
heart is your only hope of glory.”
Colossians 1:27
Today, hang onto the truth of Jesus!
