Sit. Wait. Go! by
But like any responsible suburban dog handler there is another side. This canine needs to know how to follow clear and simple instructions.
When I cross the road for example, my dog is intent on moving forward. He pulls at his lead, almost choking himself in the process.
But at the gutter I, as his master, need to watch for traffic and pedestrians… in fact anything that could possibly impede his progress. ‘Sit’ is the command, letting him know we are not proceeding.
There may be cars going past, and all he hears is the command, ‘wait!’ He’s not concentrating on anything but the next command, ‘Go!’, and that only comes when his master sees that everything is OK.
Is God asking you to sit and wait? Are you frustrated? Ready to GO?
Here’s a thought… Maybe you can’t see the whole picture? Don’t forget that God’s timing is perfect!
“It is good both to hope and wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.” Lamentations 3:26
TODAY, listen carefully to His command!
