Septic underneath by
Having visited my parents, and witnessing the difficult drought conditions they have been experiencing, I was intrigued with their back lawn… or rather the lack of lawn!
It had been eighteen months since they have received any decent precipitation, and thus the grass has died and weeds have taken over. But what captured my attention was the outlet pipe to the septic tank – a necessary waste disposal method for country homes!
Surrounded by barrenness was this strip of lush greenness that needed mowing almost weekly. The richness of the moisture flowing through the earthen pipes had impacted this fine slither of ground and reminded everyone of how beautiful the grass could be.
You may not see it now, but the slush of your past life, the deep pain and horrible memories can be turned by a miraculous God into rich experiences for service to others.
Let God have the hurts and shame of the past, and allow Him to use it as He wishes.
“When they walk through the Valley of Weeping it will become a place of springs where pools of blessing and refreshment collect after rains! Psalms 84:6
TODAY, allow the ‘septic’ in your life to become a blessing to others!
