Red…green!

My local set of traffic lights is a normal four-way intersection, with every light having a right turning arrow for increased efficiency. Sometimes when there is a fault, the lights flash amber, thus the drivers approach the intersection with much more caution, expecting other drivers to do the same.

Intersections only work well when there is coordination between the red and the green lights. But imagine the chaos if all lights were stuck on green! What a disaster! All the drivers would approach the intersection with a ‘green’ mentality, and disaster would be assured.

So to in your Christian life! God has put a simple red-green system in place. This is designed to save you from frustration, disaster and possible ruin.

Read carefully, and contemplate!

“But when you are praying, first forgive anyone you are holding a grudge against, so that your Father in heaven will forgive you your sins too.”
Mark 11:25

Forgiving others is a command you can’t avoid. It's designed to keep you safe and happy. Now it's over to you to right the wrongs!

When you are stopped at traffic lights next, ask yourself these questions. Who do I need to forgive? What’s stopping me from forgiving them?

Today, remember that green and red work together!
