Real living

The advertising campaigns screamed the same message. If you want to really live, then you must use, try, do, buy this particular product.

  • Visit New Zealand

  • Buy this new car

  • Live in this new housing estate

  • Savour this latest drink

  • This deodorant will give you the right appeal

  • This is the best night club in town!

All these products, and lots more, are promoting the best lifestyle, the best outcomes. You would really be missing out if you don’t buy! 

But without sounding like a ‘party pooper’, as my teenage son often reminds me, let me ask a question, how does a Christian respond?

 

None of these are necessarily wrong, but there is even better news. There is something far better, far greater, worthy of your attention… that you won’t see in advertising campaigns.

 

The real life that God offers far outweighs any of the advertising promises. There is nothing on earth that compares to living a ‘real life’ in God. Try it out!

 

“You should have as little desire for this world

as a dead person does.

Your real life is in heaven with Christ and God.”

Colossians 3:3

 

TODAY, try out God’s lifestyle… it’s out of this world!
