Puzzle pieces

by Bruce Wadd

You might be a puzzle lover!  My wife bears that trait, and several Christmases ago she was given a puzzle by another family member which was more than adequate to fill the holiday period.

As soon as the present-giving time was finished a special table was prepared, the puzzle box was carefully and excitedly opened, exposing 1001 pieces of pure fun and wonderment (for some, that is)!  Within minutes some of the border pieces were connected, plus several of the more obvious sections of the picture.  The process had begun!

Over the next few days of the holiday period this devoted puzzler would repeatedly come back to the table, coffee in hand, to focus on finding and connecting more pieces.

Every so often the family would hear an excited utterance when another section had been discovered and connected together – it was a major breakthrough each time!  Gradually, the rest of the family noticed connections and clarity beginning to take shape, and we could begin to make out the picture.

Let me build a link with your Christian journey!  God has given you the puzzle – your saved life – and the rest of your time here on earth will be spent connecting the pieces together.  It is taken only one day at a time.  Some days there are struggles, other days breakthroughs, but you gradually understand a little more of how things fit together.

Remember, you are a vital piece of God’s bigger picture for His people.

“Now your attitudes and thoughts must all be

constantly changing for the better.  Yes, you must be

a new and different person, holy and good.

Clothe yourself with this new nature.”

Ephesians 4:23,24

TODAY, just keep piecing life together – one piece at a time!
