Pressure by
Today I want to share something close to my heart that I have continued to experience through my adult life.
Have you ever experienced deep depression? It’s like great internal pressure, the desire to figure it all out, but you just can’t! The terrible feelings of desperation, isolation and disconnection are incredibly captivating and overpowering.
Inside I crave for understanding, but I am acting like I don’t want to be around people! Crazy… would describe it many times!
I thank those people, often ones that have been through the experience themselves, that have the courage and empathy to break through my pressure to hide with unconditional love. You’re champions!
Jesus @ Gethsemane suffered incredibly. The pressure to escape, to run away from the pain and confusion must have been immense.
Take a moment to thank Him for being driven by a greater power, by a love for you that motivated Him to move beyond Himself!
“Father, if you are willing, please take away this cup of horror from me. But I want your will, not mine.” Luke 22:42
TODAY, be renewed by His sacrifice!
