Prescription filled

by Bruce Wadd

You enter the chemist with your recently received prescription.  The doctor instructed you to take these for your worsening medical situation. With the medicine exchanged for money, you head home for a coffee and a rest.  You’re tired!

Then, several days later, the ambulance is called because you have faced another serious medical crisis. As the officers arrive, they ask your partner about the situation, and they notice the unopened prescription sitting on the bench – they’d been there since visiting the chemist.

“Are you taking any medication?” they ask.  “No,” your partner responds. “She hasn’t started yet…” comes the poor excuse!  The looks didn’t need any words; they merely got on with their job.

Dumb.  Stupid.  Idiotic.  Der…  I hear you saying!  Why would you have the medication and not take it?

Why do you have God’s promises, and not believe them?

There are so many affirming you as a wonderful child of God, and yet you don’t believe!  I am challenging both you and I! We are in a war… good versus evil… and thus lies abound!  Here’s some truth…

“So get rid of all that is wrong in your life,

both inside and outside, and humbly be glad

for the wonderful message we have received,

for it is able to save our souls

as it takes hold of our hearts.”

James 1:21

Just… take the medication!
