Pin prick reminder

by Bruce Wadd

Part of the joy of spring is cleaning up the yard. Last weekend was our family's turn for this yearly challenge.

Armed with gloves and secateurs my task was to cut down a rather prickly climber entwined around several trees. I spent quite a few minutes climbing, cutting and pulling.

With morning tea being served, gloves were removed and hands were washed.  As the last splashes of water were being wiped I noticed a little prick on my finger, evidence that at least one thorn off the vine had penetrated the thick glove.

But nothing more was thought of this insignificant pain!

The next morning I woke with a tender fingertip, a hint of pus, and bright redness surrounding the stab wound of the previous day.  It was noticeably tender, and remained so for the rest of the week.

Your conscience is designed to work the same way. Once God comes into your life, you will never be the same.  Once it has been pricked for some indiscretion, the sensitivity increases enough for you to notice!

Here's a challenge for you!

"Remember, too, that knowing what is right to do
and then not doing it is sin."
James 4:17

TODAY, be conscious of the pin prick reminders, they are designed to bring you back to God!
