When was the last time you planning a driving trip carefully? One of the last things you tend to double check is the amount you need for the journey.
So to in your spiritual journey! There is something comforting and assuring about having filled the tank for the day. What do I mean?
Have you spent time with God today? Have you read His Word, talked to Him, listened to Him speaking to you? This is part of the daily fuelling you need for life’s journey.
“The more you go on in this way, the more you will grow strong spiritually and become fruitful and useful to our Lord Jesus Christ.” 2 Peter 1:8

It’s interesting that
when there is petrol in the tank there seems to be greater confidence in
arriving at the destination. Even for a short outing around town, having the
gauge above half full means you don’t have to think about running out of fuel,
not getting there or being inconvenienced.
