Perspective points

by Bruce Wadd

Ever wondered what’s beyond a mountain on the horizon? Sometimes I am so driven by this question that I resist no longer – here is one of those times!

I have looked a certain mountain for many years.  On holidays recently, I had the opportunity to drive around to the other side for the first time, and discovered a whole new world.

As I drove around, the road entered a forest, then it gradually started climbing.  It became increasingly obvious that this was the way to the top, and  I was excited!

After lots of careful driving, the vehicle rounded the final corner to a new vista before my eyes - one filled with valleys, hills, houses, ocean and blue sky.  All this, merely from a different perspective!

Only half an hour later, when driving home, I spotted the mountain again, from the ‘old’ perspective, and  I smiled knowingly, having a deeper understanding of what lay beyond.

Your relationship with God can provide many new experiences, giving new points of reference to base the future upon, and you too can smile, knowing that He has given you a new perspective.

“Then you will learn from your own experience how

His ways will really satisfy you.”
Romans 12:2b
