Perfect timing

By Brandy Ferguson

My husband and I have been together for fifteen years, and we’ve developed a keen sense of timing for each other.  There are times during the day when he is away at work, and I will think of him and he will call at that exact moment.  I sometimes pick up the phone to call him, and it rings in my hand – he was calling me!

My favourite is at the end of the day, when I sense it’s time for him to be home with us, to have dinner with his family.  Often, I will go to the door to open it, to find him already there, turning the knob at the same time.

We’re in ‘sync’ because we’re connected by our love for one another.  One of us is pulling, the other is pushing – but we’re working toward the same goal: opening the door to greet one another in unity.

Jesus says,

“Here I am! I stand at the door

and knock.

If anyone hears My voice

and opens the door,

I will come in and eat with him,

and he with Me.”

Revelation 3:20

Jesus is already there, waiting on the other side of the door, waiting to share abundant life with you!

The timing couldn’t be any more perfect than NOW!
