The pain of mundane by
Writing Today’s Thought for over five years has been a joy. It’s a challenging and creative process I love engaging in, often in the early hours of the morning.
But then there is the editing and web publishing end of the process. Every month I face hours of editing, proofing, clicking, looking and relooking, formatting and reformatting, and finally emailing.
I’m not complaining… just reminding myself, and maybe you, of the mundane. Brilliance is often hidden in the mundane!
It’s often in the mundane that excellence gets it first chance to shine through. That’s where true character is often revealed.
Today, I thank God for the many times Jesus, after giving extensively to people, disappeared into the wilderness to do the ‘mundane’ things of God. He hid away and poured His life out to His Father!
May God get the glory
in your mundane moments,
Remember…
“God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.” Romans 12:2b TM
