Pain gain by
It was only seventeen days, but what a change!
The lightness of weight loss was deeply pleasing, but the purity and integrity of mind and heart gained from not eating was profound… life changing!
But here I sit … with the weight having returned. Depressed… frustrated... angry with myself for letting things return to what they were.
Why do I write this? Because of the many people that have also made commitments to their family, friends and Saviour, only to fall back into old ways. Whether it’s drinking, smoking, sexual distractions, over eating, financial misdemeanors… it’s irrelevant!
Both you and I are avoiding the deepest truth… of God’s unconditional love for those repeat offenders. He can and will make you clean again, bringing purity and integrity back into your life.
Remember… the Good News!
