Out of focus

 by Bruce Wadd

This may sound funny, but one of the pleasures of life is having something come into clear focus over time.

Have you ever sat in a large room or auditorium where the presenter is using an overhead projector?  When he turns it on and begins to use it the first slide is out of focus and upside down.  A few moments are then taken to adjust the screen and the slide.

But, have you ever sat in that same audience where the presenter forgets to adjust the focus?  Where he leaves the words just out of focus enough so that it is like a stone in your shoe – really irritating?  You just feel like going up there and fixing it for him, so that it can be read clearly.

Right now, how does God come across from where you are sitting?  Is His presence really sharp, or is it out of focus?

It’s easy to let God slide out of focus! Life has its many ways of making Him blurry, distant or almost out of sight, but thankfully He is patient. He waits till you come back to Him, and refocus.

“Keep your eyes on Jesus, our leader and instructor.”  Hebrews 12:2

TODAY…God wants to be in focus with you!
