Origin conversion by
In my part of the world, State of Origin means one thing – an annual rugby league battle between two states of Australia, New South Wales and Queensland.
Several years ago I realized my potential dilemma with this event. Having been born in New South Wales, tradition says I should support the Blues.
These ‘cane toads’ speak about their state with passion and belief, and live the impending competition with great zeal.
My reality - I can’t help but support Queensland during the three matches each year, despite my origin. I’m converted!
You have been born as a human, but now you’ve met someone with a deep, unexplainable love - Jesus Christ. You have been drawn to His character. There is something deeper that you want, and you’ve seen it in Jesus!

have lived in Queensland, Maroon territory, though, for longer than my
original residency in NSW. Thus my adult mind, and love for the sport, has
always been captured by the passion and deep love that Queenslanders have for
their cherished Maroon.
